Two Mainers looking to go West

Claudia, my partner in crime, and myself (Gregor's the name) are looking to catch a ride west to make it to this year's burning man. We are located in Southern Maine (for the most part) but willing to travel to meet up with a ride. We'd be willing to go most anywhere to find awesome people to ride in with, be it Boston, New York, Chicago, Sedona, Reno, or most anywhere in between.

There's a good chance we may stay out west for the mean time, and go hiking from there, most likely the Pacific Northwest , which we could use a ride from too, but we'd have a whole week to find one ;-) So it may just be a one way thing with us. We're fire dancers so we'd have some gear with us plus each of our hiking bags (we'd probably be shipping stuff back after the festival to do our spiritual exploration to who knows where). As already implied, we're the artistic philosophical type, and love to dig into conversation about metaphysics. I particularly love cosmology, and I think I am going to apply to do a lecture at one of these venues (as they are being offered) on my work with vortex theory and understanding nature through number patterns and ratios, aka the fractal. So, I have all that lovely stuff to share along with smiles and laughs on extremely less serious but remarkably entertaining conversations about potential ice cream flavors. We are also both college students at the University of Southern Maine. At heart, Claudia loves her trapeze and piano, and all performance art, me, that would be my poi and patterns. So long, and thanks for all the fish!

Well, if things have gone as planned, you are in the west - nearing time to head back east. Whether or not you have Internet access is a different story.

My husband and I are in Cedar City, UT - heading to the Oregon / Washington border in order to finish the Lewis & Clark trail. Once at the ocean, we will head down the coast to San Francisco before heading east - Lake Tahoe, Reno, Salt Lake, Ogallala, and then ending up near Washington DC. We are planning on a 3 week tour of the loop from Salt Lake to Salt Lake. After that, travelling more quickly.

If you still need a ride, I'd be interested in talking. We have a motorhome. You would have to camp in RV parks en route. If this interests you, please contact me.
